Established in 1948.
Built in 1948, the Magnolia Theatre was the third film based theatre in New Albany. After 20 years, the theatre closed its doors in 1968.
Three years later in 1971, the theatre reopened its doors as the Cine' Theatre for motion picture shows. The theatre closed its doors again after 28 years in the late 1990's.
In 1999, the facility went through major renovations and reopened as the Magnolia Civic Center and Cine Theatre in 2000. Today, the facility is used as a performing arts center; housing variety shows, high school musicals, ballet concerts and much more.
